This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me (Rebekah Montgomery). For questions about this blog, please contact me.
This blog does not accept any form of cash advertising, sponsorship, or paid topic insertions. However, I will and do at times accept free galleys and or copies of books for review from publishers, authors or other review programs. Some of these books are made available to me before they are made available to the general public. If the galleys are provided in electronic format by the publisher, they are often DRM protected and expiring copies. Meaning, that I have access to the digital galleys for a period of time (usually 60 days) in order to review them, and then I no longer have access to that work.
If I am provided with a hard copy (i.e. hardcover book, paperback book, software disks, audio cd) then I am welcome to keep the copy provided. In compliance with release dates set forth by the publisher I will often share these copies (after the general release date) with friends or family members or provide them here on the site as contest giveaways for my readers. I may occasionally donate copies to schools or charitable organizations or trade them for other books to review. Also please note, due to time constraints and preferences, I do not review all books that I receive. I will make every effort to identify within a post if a book or other review item was provided to me and by whom.
I do have an Amazon.com affiliate account to which I may link books reviewed. I do this mainly for the convenience of my readers who may wish to purchase or read more about an item that I have offered for review. Though in theory monetary compensation may be received for your clicking on a link, and purchasing an item from Amazon, this has yet to happen. Should traffic increase to the point that this becomes a reality, please understand this is not a source of income for me. This site is a hobby site, and any money earned would be funneled back into purchasing books to review here on the site or possibly for the purchase of domain related upkeep.
Also, please be aware that as it stands, WordPress.com may place selective advertising on this blog. This does not come from me and in fact I never even see it. All advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements. I do not receive any compensation for these ads or have any control over their content. However, WordPress.com does. If you are noticing these ads and/or they are becoming bothersome, please contact me as I understand there are options where I can pay to upgrade and have the ads removed.
Any compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog.
The owner of this blog is never compensated monetarily to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though I may receive incentive in the form of review copies of materials or at some future date compensation for Amazon.com affiliate links or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
